CNN's Sara Sidner reports on how Ukraine is using facial recognition technology to identify Russian soldiers killed in battle.

After a lengthy debate, the Cobb Board of Commissioners approved a contract with Clearview AI to allow the police department to use facial recognition technology as a crime-fighting tool.  Commissioners and constituents had raised privacy concerns about using such technology. Still, Police Chief Stuart VanHoozer said his department would, by policy, use it on a restricted basis to help identify suspects and, in some cases, unidentified crime victims.

When law enforcement seeks to identify the suspects and victims involved in missing and exploited children cases, sometimes the only lead is an image. Many such cases go unsolved. But over the past decade, facial recognition technology has helped solve more cases by enabling law enforcement to quickly connect names to images extracted from all types of content.

Indigenous women face murder rates more than 10x the national average. Every missing and murdered indigenous woman is a mother, daughter, or sister and tackling this epidemic of missing and murdered women is an imperative issue. Clearview AI is proud to be partnering with tribal law enforcement to bring these under-funded and under-resourced tribes life-saving facial recognition technology .

February 3 is National Missing Persons Day. Time is crucial in missing person cases. These missing persons deserve every tool available to bring them home quickly & safely. Clearview AI is proud to partner with law enforcement as they work to bring answers to the victims' family and help reunite missing children, adults, and elderly with their loved ones.
